Barry Bonds indicted on perjury & obstruction charges….

2007 has been a REALLY bad year for three current or former African-American athletes who are all in big trouble with the law.

But today, i want to talk about Bonds.

Despite breaking Hank Aaron’s career home run record on August 7th, Bonds could now face prison time instead of the Hall of Fame for telling a federal grand jury that he did not use performance-enhancing drugs.

Everyone that has followed baseball over the past 7-8 years knows that Bonds has physically gotten bigger & stronger even as he approached his early-to-mid fourties. I personally think that he is on something, but of course will not admit to it until his playing days are over.

The San Francisco Giants might’ve been sensing this day coming, because they told Bonds in mid-to-late September that he was not going to come back for a 16th season with the team.

Bonds is due in U.S. District Court in San Francisco on December 7th.

Even though Barry is a current free agent, i highly doubt he will ever play baseball again.

Will Bonds find himself in prison by Opening Day of 2008?

Only time will tell.
