Michael Vick is in hot water.
His role in sponsoring a dogfight organization which resulted in the losing dogs getting either electrocuted, drowned, hung, shot, or dying in the pit has resulted in an indictment.

Vick’s 1st court apperance is on July 26th, which is the 1st day of the Falcons’ training camp.

The operation was named “Bad Newz Kennels” & the dogs were housed, trained & fought at a property owned by Vick located in Surry County, VA.
According to the indictment, this operation has been taking place since 2001. Vick told NFL commissioner Roger Goodell back in April that he knew nothing about the dogfight organization, which has now landed him in big trouble.

If convicted, Vick faces up to six years in prison along with $350,000 in fines.

This is not the way that Bobby Petrino wanted to begin his coaching career with Atlanta.

It also presents a big-time distraction for Michael Vick, provided that he doesn’t get hit by a big suspension from the NFL’s league office. I’d be very surprised if Vick doesn’t receive at least an 8 game suspension for his actions.

Keep in mind that Adam “Pacman” Jones of the Tennessee Titans has already been suspended for the entire 2007 season due to his 5 arrests & constant run-ins with the police since being drafted by the Titans back in 2005.
Sadly, Jones has more arrests (5) than interceptions (4) in his first 2 seasons with Tennessee.
Until then,
