Keyshawn Johnson, the 11 year veteran WR retired from the NFL on Wednesday.
Johnson spent his career with 4 different teams (Jets from ‘96-99, Buccaneers from ‘00-03, Cowboys from ‘04-05 & Panthers from ‘06-07).
Johnson also made 3 Pro Bowls during his career (’98, 99 & ‘01).
Keyshawn was the 1st overall pick in the 1996 NFL Draft after spending 2 seasons at USC. The highlight of his collegiate career came during the Rose Bowl when he caught 12 receptions for 216 yards & a touchdown during USC’s 41-32 win over Northwestern.
Johnson will be remembered for his titled book called “Just Give Me The Damn Ball”, which was written during his rookie season with the Jets in ‘96.
Johnson finished his career having played in 167 of 176 games, which is an amazing 94.8% percentage.
