Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Miami to win this game, as they should be able to take advantage of a Buffalo defense that will be missing both Troy Vincent & Takeo Spikes.

Carolina Panthers (0-1) vs. Minnesota Vikings (1-0) from the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Carolina to win, as they should be furious from getting manhandled last weekend by Atlanta at home. I think WR Steve Smith will sit out 1 more week to rest his hamstring before returning to action.

Cleveland Browns (0-1) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) from Paul Brown Stadium in Cinncinnati, OH.

Cincinnati won both meetings last season & leads the overall series 33-32.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I think Cincy will win this one, and im counting on a better offensive effort from Carson Palmer & the offense from what they showed last weekend in Kansas City.

Mattie T’s Predictions: I’m picking Chicago to win this game, but Detroit might not be a pushover if they play the same way they did last weekend vs. Seattle.

Houston Texans (0-1) vs. Indianapolis Colts (1-0) from the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Indy to win this one & i expect QB Peyton Manning to register his first 300 yard passing game of the season.

New Orleans Saints (1-0) vs. Green Bay Packers (0-1) from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking the Saints to win this one, as Deuce McAllister & Reggie Bush should have a field day against the Packers defense.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking the Eagles in this one. I know it’s very early, but Donovan McNabb & Donte Stallworth were in mid-season form last weekend against the Texans. Terrell who?

Oakland Raiders (0-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (1-0) from M & T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD.

Baltimore shut out Tampa Bay 27-0 in Week 1, while Oakland was shut out 27-0 by San Diego on Monday Night Football.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Baltimore to win this one BIG. Oakland could be in jeopardy of getting shutout for the second consecutive week.

Tampa Bay Buccanneers (0-1) vs. Atlanta Falcons (1-0) from Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I would usually pick Tampa Bay to win this game, but i believe that Atlanta is ready to surprise some people in ‘06 after their impressive road win last week against Carolina.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Seattle in this one, as RB Shaun Alexander should rebound from last week’s poor effort with a breakout performance.

St. Louis Rams (1-0) vs. San Francisco 49ers (0-1) from 3Com Stadium in San Francisco, CA.

49ers won season series against the Rams in ‘05 for first time in 7 years.

Mattie T’s Prediction: San Francisco seems like a dangerous upset pick at home, but i think that St. Louis will move the ball better offensively this week. I’m picking the Rams in this one.

Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) vs. Denver Broncos (0-1) from Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver, CO.

Denver is 5-0 against Kansas City since Invesco Field opened in 2001.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Denver to win this one easily against a Kansas City team that will have trouble scoring without QB Trent Green.

New England Patriots (1-0) vs. N.Y. Jets (1-0) from Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

New England has won 6 past meetings, including 5 straight at Giants Stadium.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking New England to win, as QB Tom Brady should have a strong game against his AFC East counterpart.

Tennessee Titans (0-1) vs. San Diego Chargers (1-0) from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA.

San Diego is looking for first 2-0 start in 4 years.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking the Chargers. San Diego’s defense could produce another shutout against a Tennessee offense led by QB Kerry Collins.

Washington Redskins (0-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (0-1) from Texas Stadium in Irving, TX.

Washington won the season series against Dallas last year for the first time since ‘95.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking Dallas to win this one, as WR Terrell Owens should produce big in his Texas Stadium regular-season debut. I still can’t believe he’s a Cowboy after what he did to the franchise several years ago while with the 49ers.

Jacksonville won last meeting 23-17 in OT on a 41 yard interception return by CB Rashean Mathis.

Mattie T’s Prediction: I’m picking the Steelers to win in a close one. Charlie Batch impressed me last week & i believe the Steelers’ defense will be able to slow down Fred Taylor, who has rushed well against Pittsburgh in the past.
