How do I listen to BMSRadioChicago.com?

Listening is easy.  BMSRadioChicago.com shows are available on demand 24-hours a day, seven days a week.  There are several options to listen:

  1. Any post that has an audio or video attachment will have three options to listen or view.  An icon, a “play in pop up” link and a “download” link.
  2. “Play in pop up.” The media file will play in a separate window so you can listen as you continue to browse.  If you are having trouble do the following.  Enable pop ups in your browser’s options.  Next, point your browser directly to http://blackmusic-spot.com/bmsradiochicago/ or click here.  Then give it another shot.
  3. “Download” is a link directly to the media file.  The left mouse button will initiate a stream in a new tab in modern browsers.  To save an episode, right click on the link and choose “Save Link As…” Save the file to the location of your choice on your PC.  It can now be burned to CD or copied to your portable device.
  4. The icon will function the same as the “download link.  See option three.
  5. To listen on your portable device see option three.
  6. From the home page, each weekly show is indexed behind the “top” tab.  Choose a tab to access the most recent episode: Hip-Hop, House Music, Sports Cast or BMSRadioTV.  Links to archived episodes are also available through these tabs.

How do I submit music?

  • BMSRadioChicago.com accepts music via our membes only page for tracking purposes.
  • Please submit original music only.  Keep samples to a minimum.

What is a podcast?

  • A form of distributing multimedia files over the internet for playback on a mobile device or a personal computer.
  • Subscribers are automatically notified of updates.
  • None subscribers may listen via internet stream through a web browser, or download directly to their computer or mobile device.

How do I work with BMSRadioChicago.com and/or it’s staff?
