Number 10

Erykah Badu dropped some music from outta nowhere not too long ago, and her most recent single creeps into the top ten this week.  “Window Seat” moves up one spot to number ten and the video is pretty interesting.  Initially, the men are gonna watch it all the way through to see just how much she’s gonna take off.  We sometimes forget that Erykah once was a pretty-little beauty pageant type bitch, before she became this pretty-little artsy, neo soul, weird bitch that will wear a 17″ afro-wig with some football shoulder pads, then walk naked up the street before bleeding blue blood that spells out something I still can’t make out.  Personally, I’d do her no matter what she has on… and I use the “B-word” in the most loving way possible.  You see that junk she is packing?  Whoa.  First week in the top ten.

Number 9

Robyn Thicke and Snoop-Dog make they’re way up the chart another spot with “It’s in the Morning.” I was kinda up in the air about Snoop’s verse in this one at first, but it has grown on me.  Besides, I have never complained about anything that has to do with morning sex in the past, and I don’t intend to start complaining about it right now.  Second week in the top ten for this one.

Number 8

Holding steady at number eight this week is Alicia Keys with “Unthinkable.” I’m liking her most recent music a lot more than I liked her first CD initially.  Every song I’ve heard thus far has moved me, and I may even think about going as far as saying that she maybe developing a very unique individual swag to her being… but we will see if that continues in future efforts.  Meanwhile, its been three weeks in the top ten for this one.

Number 7

Lloyd Banks is all the way up to number seven in only his second week in the top ten with this joint.  “Beamer, Benz, and Bentleys” features Juelz Santana, and it has heads bobbin’ in the hood all across the country.  Lloyd is out on tour with 50 Cent right now, and I’m sure they break off into some G-Unit jams at some point in the show.  This joint is from Lloyd Bank’s forth coming album tentatively titled, “The Hunger for More 2.”

Number 6

Rihanna falls four places to number six this week with her latest release, “Rude Boy.” I initially turned my nose up at this song as I usually do with most Rihanna songs, but it grew on me, and she scored her first number one single on this chart since her very first jam, “Mr. DJ.” Remember that song?  Remember we first thought she was Black?   Meanwhile, this jam has begun it’s fall but has been in the top ten longer than any other song this week.

Number 5

B.o.B. is up another notch with “Nothing on You.” Dude came outta nowhere and got a huge buzz off the internet from his camp, and now he’s officially in there as an artist.  He can look back at all his work and have the privilege of being in the position of everyone on the verge of being tired of his first single.  That’s one measure of success.

Number 4

No way am I missing the chance to write about Sade.  The general public has surprised me with the way they are accepting and respecting Sade on the music scene.  I was skeptical about this entire thing.  Meanwhile, “Soldier of Love” is up another spot to number four this week.  I was soo in love with this lady when I was a young lad.  I’m ecstatic to see one of my original crushes still out there.

Number 3

With all the clowns out there in modern Hip-Hop, Gucci Mane manages to walk the thin line with success.  His most recent release is just as catchy as most of his his previous jams.  “Lemonade” is all the way up to number three this week, and it has a catchy little chorus… even though i still don’t know what the girls are saying on this track.  It’s cute though.

Number 2

Luda shows hes still the man with his latest jam “My Chick.” I think I overheard somewhere that he is the first rap artist to be on five number one jams on Billboard or something like that.  Good for him.  Anyway, he gets help from the Young Money chick on this one… and that’s all I have to say about that.

Chicago’s own John Blu continues to hold the number one spot for the third week in a row.  He has recently signed to Jive records, so big-ups and all that to him.  Continue to represent the crib in a dope way.  “In Love With Ya Booty” is the name of the song, and its at the top of the chart is where it is this week.  All congrats due…

Number 10

At number ten, we are gonna roll with “Notorious.” The life story of my boy Biggie was generally okay. I went to see it the first day it came out, at the first matinee at the Streets of Woodfield. I was bound to be generally disappointed with the movie with all the hype that lead up to it. Nothing short of him coming back to life would have been satisfying. However, this is now one of the full length movies that I have saved and locked on my phone. Peep this vintage footage of the talent he had back in the day to absolutely crush this dude on the mic to the point that dude literally ran away…

Number 9

Number nine is gonna go to “Krush Groove.” Loosely based on how Russel and Ruben started Def Jam from a dorm room, this movie stared Run DMC, The Fat Boys, New Edition, Sheila E., and it introduced us to LL Cool J.  These are just a few of the celebrities in this East coast flick from the eighties.

Number 8

Gonna put “Love Jones” in at number eight on my favorite Hip-Hop movies of all time. Lorenz Tate’s character Darius definitely get’s credit for being an MC, so it’s on the countdown. It’s hot-to-death the way he talks Nia Long’s character out of her panties on the mic in the “Brotha To the Night” scene. Hands down one of the best fictional brain storms ever. This movie was based in Chicago and is one of my favorite movies of all time over all. No movie has really ever captured true Urban adult culture in Chicago, but this was a very nice try. The characters just didn’t have Chicago accents… but I still love it.

Number 7

8-Mile is unquestionably on my list of top ten Hip-Hop movies. Loosely based on Eminem’s life coming up in Detroit, this actually turned out to be a good movie. I love it. White people are now equal again! But seriously folks, a brotha came across some raw footage of Eminem sticking it to somebody on the mic. Dude definitely had his moment on top of the world as a Hip-Hop artist. The first time a white MC went to the top that actually had skillz, and managed to not say or do anything stupid in a world where everyone waits for one to fuck up. Gotta admit that the idea of MC’s battling is to disrespect the opponent. He always flips it when he gets the racial attacks on the mic, and its extremely clever without crossing the thin line. Impressive.

Number 6

“Wild Style” is at number six on the Hip-Hop movie countdown. It would be soo disrespectful to leave this movie out of any Hip-Hop movie countdown. This has go to be the original movie about the misunderstood graffiti artist. In fact, the original Hip-Hop feature film period released in 1982 featuring Fab Five Freddy, Lee Quinones, the Rock Steady Crew, The Cold Crush Brothers, Patti Astor, Sandra Fabara and Grandmaster Flash. And ya don’t stop!

Number 5

“Juice” is at number five on my list of favorite Hip-hop movies of all time. Gotta get the flick in there that focuses on the DJ. Hey, that’s how I’m in the club. The movie also of course stars the late Tupac Shakur. I think seeing himself on the big screen playing the bad guy in this movie kinda stuck in his mind too much. Does that make sense? I could clearly tell a difference in his work after this movie came out even back then.  Though he never topped 2pacolypse Now in my mind, “Juice” is still an all time classic movie.

Number 4

Number four is no doubt “Brown Sugar.” This movie used the metaphor of Hip-Hop compared to love, just as Common used the Hip-Hop as a metaphor for a girl in his classic song “I Used to Love Her.” This Hip-Hop love story featuring Sanaa Lathon has become an instant chick flick, and I can live with that. It also is a good exam of African Americans as everyday people. It’s one of those movies that has a Black cast, but halfway through the movie you forget that the cast is Black. It’s a chick-flick on channels like Lifetime and WE on a regular basis.

Number 3

“Breakin’” is no doubt at number three on this Hip-Hop movie countdown representing the West coast. This scene with Turbo dancing with the broom was supposed to end up on a Fred Estair slash Micheal Jackson level, and I think that you have to mention Boogaloo Shrimp in the same sentence with those greats when it comes to great single individual performances. This movie made being a B-Boy (or B-Girl) a huge national trend in the early eighties. Definitely a movie that has had a huge impact on Hip-Hop. This is “Breakin’” at number three …not to be confused with “Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo” which is generally considered by Hollywood as the worst movie sequel of all time. No joke.

Number 2

We used to argue which was a better movie: “Beat Street” or “Breakin’?” Well, “Beat Street” gets to be on top this time. This movie is very entertaining, and it manages to have a story line among the corniness of the eighties. This one also incorporates all four aspects of Hip-Hop into the storyline well including DJing, MCing, B-Boying and of course the misunderstood Graffiti artist. Gotta respect the East coast when it comes to Hip-Hop.

Honorable Mention:

• A couple movies that came to mind that didn’t make the top ten were Hustle & Flow, Idlewild, How High, and Boyz N the Hood.
• A couple others that came up but were debatable on being considered “Hip-Hop movies” were Love & Basketball, In Too Deep, and Menace to Society.

Number 1

“Belly” is absolutely the best Hip-Hop film ever. Directed by Hype Williams, this movie is like a 90 minute music video. Imagine if Quentin Tarantino decided to make a grimy Hip-Hop movie staring Nas and DMX. The famous opening scene features a robbery over the Soul to Soul accapella version of “Back to Life,” and it never looks back. My vote for number one today. All congrats due…

We are gonna allow Jay Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West into the top ten this week with the latest jam from Jigga’s most recent CD. I love Rihannna to death, but it’s something about the sound of her voice that just screams “POP CHARTS!” I have finally given the song a chance, as I usually do when I hear her voice, and we can let them in the top ten when it’s all said and done. They’ve all been here before anyway. First week in the top ten for “Run This Town.”

Number 9

Number nine this week goes to Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. First week in the top ten for “Forever,” which has something to do with Lebron James’ life story or something. I ain’t heard that Lebron has congratulated Superman and them for that playoff win, so I ain’t really paid too much attention to anything LeBron lately. So, actually the hype over the song has moved it into the top ten this week.

Number 8

Number eight this week goes to the Clipse.   I’ve always liked these cats… every since they came out with “Grinding.” It had a raw Hip-Hop sound from the hood. I’m glad they’re still out there on the grind, and their latest jam is up one spot this week. Two weeks in the top ten for “I’m Good.”

Number 7

Kells and Keri Hilson are at number seven this week with “Number One.” Interestingly enough, “Number One” only made it as high as number three on this chart, but it has been in the top ten for a respectable nine weeks. And ya don’t stop!

Number 6

“Strapped” by Birdman featuring Lil Wayne is in at number six this week.  I accidentally slipped on the unedited version of this at a family type event a few weeks ago.  It’s wired how profanity stands out so abruptly when you talk about “two bitches eating at each other’s pussy.” Still, I bob my head. This song only made it as high as number two, but it has been in the top ten for ten weeks. That’s longer than any other song this week.

Mariah Carey is in at number five this week. It’s always good to see her career doing well after Tommy had her sitting there pouting at award shows and shit back in the day. Cain’t wait to see her and Monique in that film that Oprah and Tyler Perry produced. Um…. “Precious.” Yea, that’s it. Meanwhile, six weeks in the top ten for “Obsessed.”

Number 4

Jamie Foxx and them fall two places to number four this week in their seventh week in the top ten. Drake and Kanye are on this one as well, as well as The Dream I think. I’m too lazy to use my resources this week. To verify the artist and this song, all I have to do is press alt-tab, like I’m switching in between two convo’s, but I’m not “Digital Girl” is at number four this week.

Number 3

I so like Mary, Mary. Up to number three is “God In Me.” I first saw them at Great America, and I just loved them every since. Their music is always good, and they always send a positive message. It’s feel good music, whoever your God is. Four weeks in the top ten so far.

Mary J. Bilge is up to number two this time around. Last time I caught her was at the Palm in Las Veags. I was the drunk dude with the big forehead in the front row. Her latest jam has been in the top ten for six weeks. Yea, she’s been here before.  In at number two with Drake is “The One.”

First week in the top ten as well this time around for Mary J. Blige and her latest jam, “The One.” I think I saw this cut on a commercial or something the other day.  I gotta pay a little more attention the next time it rolls around.  Drake is featured on this one.

“Jerk” by the New Boyz is up one space to number nine this week.  The kids always request this jam, and I’ve played it a lot over the last few weeks, seeing that this is the season for family reunions and trunk parties.  Three weeks in the top ten so far.

Number 7

Jamie Foxx’s lates song features The Dream, Kanye West, and Drake.  Second week in the top ten and it is up three spots to number seven.  They brought Drake in for the remix, and they obviously wanted a piece of him just like everyone else does nowadays.  Just imagine that he hasn’t even had an album out yet, but here he is on a remix with Jamie Foxx, Kanye and Dream.  Technology is grand.

Number 6

R. Kelly featuring Keri Hilson is at number six this week, even though the name of the cut is, “Number One.” This was a good calaboration for the both of them.  The hot new R&B singer teamed up with the veteran R&B producer.  A no brainer.  Four weeks in the top ten.

“Always Strapped” by Birdman featuring Lil’ Wayne is down one spot this week to number five.  Lil’ Wayne has been everyplace over the last few yeas, so why not flow on a track with the producer who got it all started for him.  Five weeks in the top ten so far for this one.

It’s Drake’s ass again.  He is only on three top ten songs this week.  No big deal.  “Successful” is up two spots to number four in it’s fourth week in the top ten.  I want the money, cars, clothes, and the hoes I suppose…  Trey Songs sings the hook on this one.

Maxwell holds steady at number three this rip with his lates effort.  I’m still personally getting used to this dude without long hair, and I know I’m gonna go through a thang when the day comes for me to let go of my hair.  But, I know once I cut it this time, then thats the end for me and long hair forever.  Seven weeks in the top ten for Maxwell.

Last week’s number one song has fallen to number two.  Jay Z held down the top spot for three weeks, but there will be another jam holding it down this time.  “Death of Autotune (D.O.A.)” is again what I call grown up Hip-Hop.  No disrespect to the newbies out there, but lyrics mattered heavily when I was coming up.  This cut has been in the top ten for nine weeks… longer than any other song this week.

Holding steady this week at number nine is my boy Maxwell with “Pretty Wings.” Second week in the top ten for this jam. Dude was pretty fortunate (no pun intended) to be able to perform a new release at Michael Jackson‘s memorial service. That’s an instant classic for ya.

Kid Cudi is up two spots to number eight this week with, “Make Her Say.” I liked this joint the very first time that I heard it. Kanye West has a nice little verse on the jam, and it has to be the nicest verse I’ve heard him spit in a minute. Of course Common always comes correct to the microphone. I pegged Kid Cudi as a straight-up B-96 artist, but this is one for the Hip-Hop heads.

Number 7

Method Man and Redman fall four more places to land at number seven this week, but they have nothing to be ashamed of. This jam spent three weeks at number one, and it has been in the top ten for ten weeks. That’s longer than any other cut this week. And ya don’t stop!

Number 6

“Superman High” comes in at number six this time around. R. Kelly and OJ Da Juiceman have a joint on their hands that gets the crowd movin’. This is one of those songs that I didn’t feel the first time I heard it. However, the first time I heard it around a group of people was a different story. Three weeks in the top ten for this one so far.

I try to hate on this song all I can, but it is just freakin’ everywhere. I was checking out the Bud Billiken Parade when I was getting ready for my class reunion, and half the DJ’s playing on floats were pumpin’ this song as they passed the cameras from WGN and WLS. Whatever the case, Mario is up another spot to number five this week with a little bit of help from Gucci Mane and them. Four weeks in the top ten so far for “Break Up.”

Number 4

DJ Webstar is down from number two to number four this week after seven weeks in the top ten. “Dancin’ On Me” gets the dance floor packed just as well as the rest of them. Again, Jim Jones and them make hits, and this is no different than any time prior.

Number 3

The Clipse are up to number three this week with, “Kinda Like a Big Deal.” Six weeks in the top ten for the Hood celebrities. This one also features Kanye West and it was featured on Mixshow 72 episode 361. Get that in your portable player, and be sure to subscribe to Mixshow 72 for automatic updates.

Up three places to number two is Jigga with “Death of Autotune (DOA).” He came right out and dissed everyone who uses the tool as a gimmick. He even goes as far as mentioning T-Pain by name.  Ha!  Five weeks in the top ten.

Jigga moves up one spot this week with his latest jam called “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” Unless you have been in another country for the last few years, you know that the Auto-Tune is the voice effect that a lotta peeps have been using to death.  Jay Z takes the anti Auto-Tune route… and why not?  It’s bound to go away sooner or later.  Enough already.  Two weeks in the top ten so far for this one.

Laura Izabor is at number eight his week.  This joint spent two weeks at number one, and has been in the top ten for ten incredible weeks.  “From My Heart to Yours” headed up Mixshow 72 episode 360 a couple weeks ago.  That’s definitely worth peeping if you haven’t had the chance to do so.  Click –> here!

Phoenix Phenom is up one more spot to land at number five this week.  I’m still tryna pass judgement, without being judgemental.  The more of her I see, the more she keeps striking me as an Aaliyah look alike or wanna be, and I still don’t think that’s what they’re aiming for.  I dunno… whatever the case, I’ll hit that if she’s 18 or older   “Love Song” has been in the top ten for five weeks.

Lil Wayne and them land at number four this week with “Every Girl.” This joint spent three weeks at number one, and it has been in the top ten for twelve consecutive weeks.  Thats longer than any other song this week.

Drake makes a huge leap from number seven to number three this week with “Best I Ever Had.” Only three weeks in the top ten so far, and dude is tryna boguard his way through.  He don’t know that we make light-skinned niggas ride the back of the bus   This kid might be on to something though.

Fabolous has made it to number two y’all.  “Put It In The Bag” has been in the top ten for seven weeks so far.  Oh, how time flies.

Little Kim fell three places this week to number ten in her fifth week in the top ten. “Download” is the jam that uses the computer and the internet as a metaphor for love and/or sex. Yea, I know. Original …right? She has Charlie Wilson on this jam from the GAP Band singing the hook. They got a few weeks in the top ten mostly off of credibility from their past works, but whatever works.  Charlie Wilson will indeed be performing at the Taste of Chicago today.

Number 9

First week in the top ten for Webstar featuring Jim Jones. It ain’t a bad thing to have Jim Jones on your cut, and I’m sure the record company knew this before they paired these two. They tryna get Webstar known for more than the “Chicken Noodle Soup.” It’s enlightening to see all these DJ’s get record deals (light bulb goes off!) The name of this jam, by the way, is “Dance On Me.”

Number 8

I like this little jingle. Phoenix Phenom is the artist, and “Love Song” is the jam. Yep… I liked it the first time I heard it. Fabolous moves up two spots to number seven this week with “Put It In The Bag.” Four weeks in the top ten so far… and that’s all I have to say about that.

Method Man and Redman are up to number five this week with their latest jam “A-Yo.” They ain’t lost a step, and they are smart enough to keep working together. Four weeks in the top ten so far.

“Epiphany” by Chrisette Michele is down three spots to number four this week, but it’s still my shit. Last week’s number one song has been in the top ten for ten consecutive weeks, and that’s longer than any other song this time around.

Number 3

Lil’ Wayne and them are at number three with “Every Girl.” Nine weeks in the top ten for this one. Lil’ Wayne is still on top of the world for now. Too bad he’s accused of having an illegal gun. This former number one jam spent three weeks at number one before loosing the spot to Crisette Michelle last week. Neither of the two are doing badly this week.

Number 2

Six weeks in the top ten brings the Fast Life Youngstas to number two with “Swag Surfin’.” I don’t see nuthin’ wrong with the young artist out there copping some time on the chart. Can’t help but like it sometimes.

My boy Fabolous is back in the top ten with his latest release “Throw It In The Bag.” First week in the top ten for this jam, and Fabolous wants us all to know that he ain’t rappin’ bout stealing… he’s rappin’ bout shopping. Thanks Fabolous.  I would have never figured that out.

Number 9

This joint goes out to the entire high school Senior class of 2009. I had the honor of spinning at a prom last week, and this was the number one requested joint. Got it into the top ten last week, and it moves up one more place this week to number nine.  “Rick Bobby” by B-Hamp.

Number 8

Method Man and Redman are back in the top ten with “A-Yo.” First week on the countdown for this one as well. These two cats have chemistry like Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby. Like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Like Mudd and Jeff. Glad they did another project, and they should keep doing projects together.

Lil Kim moves up two places this week with “Download” featuring Charlie Wilson. She must’ve stayed up many late nights to come up with this concept (sarcasm). I’ve actually heard dozens of unsigned artist make little parody songs that use this metaphor. Ya know… love and the internet? But lil Kim has the record deal, and she has two weeks in the top ten so far.

Number 6

Number six this time around belongs to the Fast Life Youngstas. “Swag Surfin’” is enjoying it’s third week in the top ten, and this has started to grow on me. The video kinda cute in a ghetto/hood type of way, and it’s always fun to see the kids do their dances.

Gotta love number five this week. Laura Izibor is an Irish R&B singer that I think I may wanna have sex with. How old she she anyway? 20? Yea, that’s old enough This is her fourth week in the top ten with her current joint “From My Heart To Yours.” This my friend, is a good-ass song. Nuff said.

Hurricane Chris holds steady at number four this week with “Halle Berry (Se’s Fine).” Caught a link off Twitter the other day with Miss Berry doing the dance named after her on Ellen. Hit me up to sign the petition to get Ellen to stop dancing on TV . Five weeks in the top ten for hood celebrity Hurricane Chris.

Number 3

The three spot goes out to a former number one song. In fact, “On The Ocean” by K’Jon spent three weeks at number one. It fell to number two last week, and lands at number three this time around. Who is K’Jon anyway?

Number 2

This little jam is my shit! “Epiphany” has been in the top ten for seven weeks, and this goes on my list of slow songs that you can actually break dance to. For real though… I love it and there is no other way to describe these types of songs. The artist is Chrisette Michele (did I spell that right?), and she has made a name for herself with this one.

• “Blame It” by Jamie Foxx featuing T-Pain fell outta the top ten after an amazing 15 week run.  That ties it for the longest stay this year. It also spent two weeks at number one.

Ya know, I really like this song.  Number ten this week goes to Lil Wayne and “All The Girls.” First week in the top ten, and another Lil Wayne cut to crank to ten when you hear it.  “Cause we like heerrr, and we like her too!” That’s what’s up.

Chrisette Michele moves up one more spot to number nine this week. This is another good-ass song, man!  “Epiphany” makes me have a  sudden manifestation of the essence or meaning of something… and ya don’t stop.  Second week in the top ten so far for this jam with the catchy little hook.

Number 8

Keyshia Cole holds steady at number eight this week with her latest release, “You Complete Me.” She’s been in the top ten with this one for seven weeks so far, which is standard for a good hit.  Unfortunately, Keyshia hasn’t cracked the top 5 this time around as she usually does.  We still got love for her, cause her name generates mad traffic from the search engines.  Plus, I still wanna hit that

Number 7

Hands down one of favorite songs out there right about now.  K-Jon moves up two places this week to number seven with “On The Ocean.” One can see post all over the internet saying that this cat sounds like Case or KC or somebody to that effect.  The good thing is that those are all complements.  Most importantly, this is a good-ass song.  Three weeks in the top ten so far.

Number 6

Rick Ross manages to move up a spot this week and land at number six.  I hear him and 50Cent recently squashed their beef.  That’s good news if it’s true, even though 50Cent put out that XXX video of Rick Ross’ baby momma.  50 was a fool for that.  Meanwhile, Rick Ross has a top ten song on his hands, and let’s hope all the pub about the beef helps him sell some records.  “Magnificent” featuring John Legend is at number six this week.

Number 5

Sometimes, one hears a song over and over and it grows on them.  Such is the case for me and Kid Cudi when it comes to “Day and Night.” Man, I catch myself singing the hook over and over, and I in no way took this song seriously when I first heard it.  Now, I think it’s cute.  Five weeks in the top ten so far as it is up one spot this week, and still heading in the right direction.

Number 4

Twista drops two places to number two this week with his latest jam, “Wetter.” Most know by now that this is like part two to his previous jam, “Get It Wet.” Ten weeks in the top ten so far, with two of those weeks at number one.  Not bad.  I respect this jam, but it’s not quite my favorite Twista cut.  This one is a success, but it didn’t move me like his verse did in “Po Pimp.” Boy, if that ain’t the best verse he has ever written in my opinion.

Number 3

Jamie Foxx is currently working it out at number three this week.  “Blame It” has been in the top ten for eleven weeks, and it has now been in the top ten longer than any other song this week.  Jamie spent two weeks at number one, then it fell to number three, then four… and is actually back up a notch to number three this week.  It just still makes everyone dance, from Jr. to Grandma, with no complaints.  Should this not have crossed over by now?

Number 2

Busta Bust moves up to the number two spot this week.  I like this one when I first heard it, once again in spite of T-Pain being all over the track.  I cain’t go through a top ten without mentioning T-Pain’s ass.  In case you ain’t know, I gave up on hating on that dude a long time ago.  Take too much energy.  Whatever the case, Busta-Bust has been in the top ten for seven weeks now with “Hustler’s Anthem.”

• “Turning Me On” by Keri Hilson finally fell outta the top ten after a brilliant run.  Two weeks at number one, and a whopping sixteen weeks in the top ten.  This song was in the top ten longer than any other song this year.

K’Jon kicks off the top ten this week as he moves up four places into the ten spot.  This is a fantastic song!  You can quote me on that.  Finding this live performance on You Tube was a treat, so be sure to view this video.  It’s a good way to get to know this cat if you’re asking, “Who is K’Jon?” Not coincidentally, his Myspace page is myspace.com/whoiskjon.  How about that?  First week in the top ten.

Number 9

Number nine this week belongs to Rick Ross.  He’s up one place this time around with his latest jam “Magnificent.” Two weeks in the top ten so far.  I never did watch the entire video of his baby momma from the 50 Cent web site.  I believe I was somewhere where that wouldn’t have been appropriate.  Whatever the case, she’s a porn star now if she wasn’t at first.  Meanwhile, John Legend is on the controls on this one along with Rick and Justice League.  Two weeks in the top ten.

Number 8

Kid Cudi is up another spot himself to land at the number eight spot this time.  This cut grew on me, and grew on me, and I’m not embarrassed to say that it rings in my head when I hear it.  I’m not embarrassed to say that I catch myself singing the hook up under my breath sometimes.  Nope, I’m not embarrassed at all.  “Day Night” has been in the top ten for three weeks.

Number 7

Keyshia Cole is at number seven, and it’s not just because “I wanna hit that.”  Well, I should say that ain’t the only reason she’s at number seven.  I like her little song too.  Check this out though… the next time I talk about her on this chart, I’m not gonna talk about having sex with her.  Watch.  If I do, I’ll give a T-Shirt to the first person who notices.  Five weeks in the top ten.

Number 6

“Stanky Leg” may have reached it’s peak a couple weeks ago when it was at number three.  Last week it fell to number four, and now it’s down to number six.  I’m always down for a popular dance that doesn’t involve too much moving around.  Especially if I’m out and I got on one of my “get-down” shirts.  I ain’t about to have big old sweat pools up under my arms in the club if I can help it.  Six weeks in the top ten.

Number 5

Keri Hilson is having an incredible run in the top ten.  Its been here longer than any other song this week.  “Turning Me On” spent two weeks at number one.  It started it’s way down the chart, froze at number eight for a couple weeks, and is slowly making it’s way back up the chart.  Up one more place to number five this week is Keri Hilson.  She was right up the street from me at the Sears Center last week with Lil Wayne and them.  The after jam was at Club Heat.  That much action right in front of me out here in the burbs.  I wasn’t supposed to go?  Fourteen weeks in the top ten.  Wow.

Number 4

Busta Rhymes its up another spot this week to land at number four with a little help from T-Pain.  I guess Busta was like, “Fuck it, he’s on everyone’s cut.  Why not be on mine?”  Yea, why not?  I like the hard beat in this one.  It almost sounds like a Dr. Dre track.  Five weeks in the top ten for Busta-Bust and T-Pain with “Hustler’s Antem.”

Number 3

Jamie Foxx lands at number three this week with a little help from T-Pain.  You would think I like T-Pain‘s ass, as much as he is all up in my top ten.  However, this jam spent four weeks at number one, which is the most by any song so far this year.  It kinda still makes you turn it up when you hear it, even though you hear it “fifteen times a day, for three months.”  “Blame It” has been in the top ten for nine weeks.

Number 2

This dude came up on from getting his song on the air at WGCI with Timbuk2, and now he’s got a record deal.  I’m about five seconds away from wanting to hate, because we didn’t have these opportunities back in the stone age days when we used to walk around shopping our demos on the ToneMaster tapes.  You’s better ask somebody.  On the real though, big ups to Jerimah.  “Birthday Sex” is no doubt the number two jam this week.  Five weeks in the top ten.
