Stephen Jackson traded to Bobcats

Nov 16th, 2009 | By The Go-To-Man Mattie T. | Category: Sports

The Golden State Warriors finally parted ways with Stephen Jackson, as they traded the disgruntled guard/forward to the Charlotte Bobcats along with guard Acie Law in exchange for guard Raja Bell & forward Vladimir Radmanovic.

Although Jackson did have some public feuding with head coach Don Nelson, he also had his good moments in Golden State.

It included a masterful defensive performance on 2006-07 league MVP Dirk Nowitzki in the Warriors’ Game 6 clincher to cap off a stunning upset of the top-seeded Mavericks in 6 games.

Jackson also became the first Warrior since Tim Hardaway in 1992 to record 5 straight games with 30 points & 10 assists, which was done last season.

He’ll make his return to Golden State on January 29th, 2010.
